- *Bubble Homes and Fish Farts by Fiona Bayrock, Illustrated by Carolyn Conahan (Charlesbridge)
- Stanley’s Beauty Contest, by Linda Bailey Illustrated by Bill Slavin (Kids Can Press)
Toddlers will delight in the simple, engaging text and imaginative illustrations these books offer to young readers as well as whimsically-minded adults who like to indulge the child within.
Nominations for the Chocolate Lily Book Awards (2011) Chapter Books; Grade 3-1 Category
This year, six chapbooks for young grade-school children have been nominated. Each of these titles will encourage a love of reading in youngsters and introduce them at an early age to some of the best books for kids.

This year, for the first time, Chocolate Lily is recognizing Chapter Books for children. This category includes wonderful titles for older-grade school students. There are seven books for kids in this category.
